Living under red light

Tryavna/Varna 9-15.7.2012

We stayed in Veliko Turnovo till Tuesday just to finish our nature trail signs. The rest of the week we spent in the mountains. Our joy was to just play with the kittens and cook food. We had again some of our host’s friends over to help around the house. However we got a bit bored.

Then came Friday 13tth and it was just as you can imagine. It sucked. Big time. Our next destination host from couch surfing cancelled, I got a huge phone bill and my omelet was black and Lynda changed our ceiling pulp to a small red light. It was basically dark in the room even though the light was on. It felt like living in red light district.

On Saturday we reached Bulgaria’s geographical center on the top of a mountain. It was a pile of rocks. Very nice.

Then freedom began! On Sunday morning we jumped on a bus. We had to take some extra buses, but finally we made it to Varna, coast of Black Sea. Then we got lost. Again big time. We wondered hours around Varna, looking for a hostel with a shitty instructions and an old map. After a while we realized that we had written the instructions to the place we just left from. So we didn’t have the hostel’s address. We felt like geniuses. It was time to have a drink and take a look of a proper map.

We got the address from internet and made our way to the hostel (got lost only ones). Hostel’s reception was locked, just our luck! We called them and they should be coming here within hour and half. Did you have as nice Sunday as we did?
