Do you have a pompula?

Tallinn, 4.-8.6.2012

Karmen & Piritta in a park
The boat ride went well, we got to Tallinn and met Karmen in the terminal. Then we went to Kaisa's apartment to get rid of our huge backpacks. The apartment was so nice! (Thank you Kaisa for letting us stay there! :) And thanks Karmen for hanging out with us!) In the afternoon we went for a walk in a local park an did some grocery shoppings. We also had some frozen yogurt, which was so good! In the evening we went to some bars, this water pipe place which name I can't remember right now and Shooters, which obviously was Kaisa's favorite, am I right? :D It was very nice!

In the roofcafe
On our second day we went to this restaurant/cafe which was on the 24nd floor and had an amazing view over Tallinn! We took some photos that you can see here. Then we decided to have an relaxed evening and went playing some pool. It was fun, although I (Minna) sucked and made us loose the game for Karmen. I'll practice for the next time..

On Wednesday we went to eat sushi, which was sooo good. We actually went there again the next day :D In the evening we decided to head out with Karmen's friends. It was a great night. Maybe Piritta will tell you more about that!

Kohuke, Estonian treat. So good!

Wednesday was a girls night out and we went to place where you could get some drinks with one euro. For Finnish this sounds too cheap to be true. But yeah we weren't in Finland. The night was fun and we danced till our feet were hurting. Me and Minna decided to leave home little bit earlier than Karmen and we managed find the apartment quite easily. I think we had already spoke too much English since Minna spoke me many times in English even though we were alone. She also asked me do you have a pompula? Great laughs.

Leaving Tallinn

Thursday was the first day with sun shining, but still it wasn't really warm. I was eager to go a adventure park, where you were able to try wall claiming in the forest. But in the end we decided to go to a zoo. It was nice laid-back day.

Friday we continued our trip to Tartu, known it's university.

Tartu 8.-10.6.2012

Tartu was a town, we either hadn't heard before. With a old town and huge park, it was really beautiful and cute. And full of students, of course. We had some problems with finding a host from Tartu, but in the end we couch surfed at one Anton's place. On Saturday evening he took us to a near lake in Elva, where was a beach concert. Imagine a fine sand beach, big dock on the lake, stage, trees around and lost of drunk people. We didn't drink anything, we just enjoyed the music, the feeling and dancing on sand. There was two artist, the other one was representing Estonia in the last Eurovision song contest. In the later evening it got cold and there were some fights. And drunk Estonians somehow understood Finnish.. at least for a while before they realized that we spoke different language ;D
